Appointment request was prompt and wait time mimimal. Insect bites and meds prescribed.
The girl at the front desk was great but the Doctor wasn’t. She looked at my ears/nose/throat and that was it. She didn’t even listen to my lungs even tho I told her I was there for chest congestion and had been coughing hard for 3 weeks. She also was very dismissive when I told her I have back/neck/muscle pain, which I had also listed on the intake form, that had only escalated due to the coughing. She even was half way out the door while I was still talking to her so overall she made me feel uncomfortable and irritated.
My appointment was for 10:45. I was called into the room approximately 10 minutes later. I waited a half hour for the doctor. I could hear the doctor speaking to someone in the room next to me who was put in the room well after I was placed in my room. There was no apology for the delay. I was there for an hour. There is no reason why I should have been there for an hour. Otherwise the staff was nice and I was given the correct medication.
Prompt check in. Then the waiting began which is expected to a point but someone could have said it will be an hour or thanks for waiting..something...anything. Then th sick peopke waiting has to listen to the personal conversations at the front desk. Not mention the muffins they were eating while we waited. Ugh
I have used this Fast Track before and had a good experience. I made an appointment for 1:30 pm. At 2 pm I asked how much longer because my 2 year old was not feeling well and getting restless. I do understand that they were busy but what is the point of making an appointment? When the doctor came in I told her what was wrong with my daughter (rash, fever, not eating/drinking, irritable). I sat for two amd a half hours just for the doctor to tell me she didn't think anything was wrong. She completely ignored my symptoms and sent me home with nothing. I've now been stuck in bed for two day's because of how awful I feel.
I was seen quickly, which I appreciated, but the doctor who examined me was a bit of a lazy know it all. Was traveling from out of state, feeling very ill, but felt (correctly) like I had a pretty good idea what was going on (tickborne illness that is common in my area but rare in Tampa). I can in with severe nausea. They sent me back right away because of that. I received medicine and a prescription. they had me wait until I could keep down water and was feeling better. Lynne Swink APRN was competent and kind.
This email suggests you knew I signed up for a fast track appointment. The office had no record of this when I arrived. I waited over an hour to be seen. This is not fast.
