Our appointment was quick but we didn’t appreciate the nurse telling the rest of the office that our son had ring worm as she passed a group of co workers and before she had informed us what the diagnoses was.
Girls were not professional looking. Had long jeweled nails and nose rings and tattoos. Not my thing
I pre-scheduled an appointment on-line for 1:30 pm. I checked in at 1:19 pm (11 minutes early). This was for a simple pre-employment drug screen (pee test sample). Didn't even need to see a doctor. I waited in waiting room for over an hour. At 2:30 (a Full Hour after my appointment time) I went to front desk and asked what is going on. I have severe cold with sore throat and cough and was told to use over the counter allergy medicine, cough drops that don’t work and over the counter nasal sprays. Spent almost $100 for nothing that helped or worked. Had to go to another PA today that actually gave me antibiotics that I know will work. Will verify there is a MD before I go to clinic again.
The assessment and wait time were fine. The lack of sending a strep culture in the setting of rapid strep negative result is inappropriate when the clinical symptoms are highly consistent with strep. I requested the culture to be sent. The followup on the culture and institution of antibiotics were the worst part of our experience and led to a 4 day delay in treatment and additional family members getting exposed and developing symptoms which in turn ruined the last week of our vacation.
The care was good the wait time to see a physician was 2 hours before I even got to see a doctor. Then come to find out I had the flu but was past the window of time to treat it but still given tamiflu and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia the next day! Spent 3 days in the hospital on heavy antibiotics and was told the physician who saw me at the walk in should have sent me to the nearest emergency room and not home with tamiflu!
I was there for 3 hours and spent about 5 minutes with the doctor. I told the nurse about the wait but she didn’t seem to care. After that, I sent my daughter to get my prescription and they forgot to get it to the pharmacy. I called many times but they never answered the phone. I had to go back there and ask them to send my prescription again. Very disorganized and slow.
I really liked the Doctor. She was professional, gave good advice, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable with the medication plan for my allergic reaction. What I didn’t like was the girl at the receptionist desk. I called ahead to make sure they were open, as the day I had the allergy attack was Christmas Eve. They didn’t help my husband, they missed fluid in his lungs which caused a lung collapse. He’s still hospitalized and very ill. Michelle Hinson didn’t help him at all.
