Provider was not listening by focused on what she felt was the problem. Front office was excellent but totally dissatisfied twitch the nurse practioner .Would not provide me with antibiotic needed for my sinus infection. Would not gone there except for my primary cares office being closed for the holiday. After being miserable all weekend, received the medication I needed from my provident Walked and told the practitioner we would not pay and not to bill my insurance.
Made a appointment and still had to wait 1 hour with only 2 people in the waiting room. Was not happy about that
I had a bad fall and my local urgent care couldn’t help me because I had hit my head. My biggest problem was my hand but I’m a medical professional myself and I understood their concerns. I knew an ER was not necessary in my case so I looked and was happy to find TGH had a location that could possibly be perfect. It was a 45 min drive from me so I called ahead to see if they were able to address my injuries and do X-rays to determine if I had a fractured hand. At check in we told the staff that we needed an X-ray for a possible break. After an hour wait, we were finally seen and then told that the X-ray tech was off that day so we needed to go to another location. If the front desk had just told us they were unable to do an X-ray, we could have gone elsewhere immediately and saved time. The receptionist was also not very friendly. We have been here before and had much better service. We will not be returning to this location after this experience.
I would never go to this place every again! I went to TGH urgent care expecting the same evidence based, high quality care I get from tgh or tgmg. I was wrong! The Pa Alicia Adams should have the care she gave to my daughter reviewed by the medical director. My daughter was prescribed a medication that was not only inappropriate, not made for her age but was an invasive vaginal medication for a 5 year old!! First of all I love Tampa general. I've been going to the clinic on gandy since before you even bought it and I have always had a great experience there and at your hospital and that Dr Gana's office which you guys run as well. My last visit to the urgent Care on Gandy Blvd was awful. I saw a nurse practitioner by the name of Megan Warkomski she treated me like a child. I went in due to abdominal pain. Scheduling the initial appointment was fairly easy. The doctor gave me a referral to get a CT scan as the fear was a kidney stone. The radiology center for the exam is literally the next window over but I was told that someone would contact me to schedule. It took 48 hours for someone to call me and all they did was ask/confirm that I would like to have a CT scan scheduled.
