Went to TGH facility since I could not see my doctor. Assumed my med info was in the system. Had flu for 5 days and NP thought I might have an infection? Gave me amoxicillin/potassium clav. It has caused very strong and persistent diarrhea. I have had IBS condition for years. Called this morning and could not reach anyone. Called my pharmacist and she told me I could stop taking the meds. Urgent Care apparently isn’t staffed on Sat.
Disappointing, As a walk-in patient, I waited 3 hours to be seen. Even watched a "reservered" patient walk out.
My appointment was supposed to be at 10:15, which is when I showed up. I was not called back until 12:05…. It would have been nice to be told it would be an almost 2 hours wait.
Not impressed. I arrived in extreme pain which was obvious. One person was in the waiting room. I was left there for at least 30 minutes while 4 other people came in and were seen. When my husband asked why these people were being seen before me, the answer was "Drug Testing". Nothing more. Then when I finally went in, I was the only one left in the clinic, after the nurse checked me, I was left again for another 20 minutes. Long wait time (understandable) but no real follow-up scheduled or meds prescribed to help with symptoms. NP was polite, but concerning since he had to consult with others providers and no “stat follow-up Neuro exam” scheduled until mid-January with unknown left face numbness/paralysis. Meds called in by primary.
Awful experience, very disappointed in the level of care and customer service.
I understand that this is an Urgent Care facility however don’t understand how having an appointment still had me in the waiting area for over an hour past my appointment time. Then once I finally got called to go to an exam room total time waiting and seen by the PA was 15 minutes.
Awful customer service!! Rude to patients (even kids!!) Waiting room was dirty, layer of dust and dead bugs on floor. Waited over an hour with an appointment time and when asked how long wait was going to be was not given an answer “As I am not allowed to answer that question”. What’s the point in giving appointments? Do not recommend, spend your money at another clinic!
Very unorganized business. Really no one in waiting room and still no one picks up the phone. Awful phone service. Don’t recommend this place for anything.
