They dismissed all my concerns and I ended up in the ER
The staff could not locate my records and I had to processed as a new patient. I was informed the records were on the old system and they now use epic. Therefore, they could not access the records. When departing, we were now given the disc for the X-ray taken, nor instruction on how to follow up with orthopedic specialist, which was recommended by the PA during the visit.
Made an appointment on the website & received a confirming text message. Lady at the counter said we are an urgent care, not a clinic, we do not take appointments. Reason for visit was painful leg following an injury. Needed an Xray to confirm not a hairline fracture. PA was more concerned with slight selling of ankle & varicose veins. Told us no fractures before we left. Upon reviewing the Xray images, we saw they xrayed his foot, not the leg. The whole thing took close to 2 hours. Everyone moved very slowly. The PA that I saw did not examine my foot/ankle. I had my shoe on and she never actually touched or looked at my foot. She only talked to me. Then she gave me a boot and told me that there was no X-Ray tech working so I had to go to a different clinic. I received a call from someone telling me the X-ray came back normal, but the Gandy office never followed up with me about what the actual diagnosis was (sprain? Strain? Ligament tear?). The bright spot was the X-ray tech… she was cordial and friendly and professional.
First, we set an appointment using the website. After waiting for over 50 minutes, we asked the registration woman how much longer as our appointment was 11am. She said, this is an urgent care, not a clinic, we do not have an appointments. Really? I scheduled it online & my husband received a text confirming it. Was there before several groups of people and took them before us? Said they were worse? If your that bad should you not go to the ER? Terrible place. I would not recommend.
The two at the desk when I - the only person there - entered there was no hello - no smiles. The lady was taking my info-no smiles ever. Very unwelcoming. With no music and no welcome-the place was cold and unwelcoming. I’ve been there several times. When I told her I was there due to a full blockage in my left ear-she never spoke up and three times I said I didn’t hear her and she never tried to raise her voice. They need some pr training.
