I have gone to Tampa General urgent care center for a preop Covid test three times in the last eight months, as required by Tampa General before a planned surgery. Each time I drove around the back of the building got a swab and went home. For this Medicare was billed $430, of which Medicare paid around $320. Long wait with very few people in waiting room. Patient came out and it was at least 15 minutes before they call next person in. I had them redo my strip throat and Covid test. I complained to doctor and they redid it. Told me it’s just a cold. Now, I’ve lost my voice. I’m making an appt at my doctors. Waste of 150. This is second time I had bad experience there. I’m going to centra next time.
The service received in my private room was top notch; however, it was the loud disgruntled gossip and frustration outside that made the experience a little uncomfortable. Multiple coworkers were discussing their anger with the company’s pay structure. It was very awkward. Maybe discuss it on your break or lunch? My experience with PA Hannah Robinson was that she did not recognize my urgent need for anti-biotic for my upper respiratory infection. She gave me medication that did not help me at all. Despite the fact that I told her about my cough and nose discharge were completely green, which was an indication of the need for anti biotic. I had to come back the next day and ask for anti-biotic. I wasn't happy with her diagnosis
The appointment was scheduled online for 12:30 pm. Left the Office after 3:30 pm. There is no sense of urgency.
I went in with knee pain. I was sent to the hospital when a simple xray would have seen the problem. I understand being cautious but it wasn't warrented.

At 3:30 PM there was a flashing red message on your website that said you will be closing in 30 minutes so I could not book an online appointment I drove directly there it did take 3 hours. There was a woman there with a two-year-old very sick and she did have a 3:30 appointment and it took almost till 6 o'clock for her to be seen make sure your receptionist know about triage children always go 1st and immediately
