While speaking to the installer inside when he first arrived second installer arrived and drilled into soffit without discussing at all. When I said I did not want it drilled in that way and asked if he had a pass through plug he said “no we don’t do that we just fill it full of silicone”. I asked installer how the line would be run in the attic so it was not a trip hazard. He said it would be attached to the rafters overhead. I was never contacted when they showed up to run line from pole to house. They didn’t speak no English. Than they parked on my grass.

I had an issue with the install but I called OEC and they fixed the problem right away. I had AT&T and had waited to cancel service until after I was up and running on OEC. Well during the trenching for my fiber they cut my AT&T line. I called OEC and they had a supervisor out to my house within a hour (on a Saturday). They finished my interior install Monday morning by 10:00 AM. The fiber service is way faster than what I had.
They did good. The only thing that was upsetting was that the technician did not wear a mask
We love the service now that we are up and running. However, the contractors came out to bury the cable without calling first, and they sliced right through our main water line from our well. Then the in house installer wanted to take the easy way out and route the cable around the outside of the house instead if through the attic. Both of these were unacceptable.

Installation was great, speed is about half what we are paying for. As an enterprise server engineer I fully understand networking and how to get the speed where I need it in my network and even directly at the router I get no where near the 1GB throughput advertised and the speed is not at all stable often it drops to less than 50 MB.
