Contractor drilled a few extra holes and took awhile to get it rolling. I climbed in the attic to check out what he was doing. He messed up step zero. Dude tried to put the damn wire up in the corner. Only thing that'll fit through the corner of the attic is a mouse and some backseat french fries.

Business response:

Hi Jordan! Thank you for taking the time to let us know. Please let us know if you have any other issues or concerns so we can be sure to improve moving forward by emailing us at info@oecfiber.com.

I had a problem with a discrepancy between a feature that the website said was offered and what was actually offered. I was told that they were working on correcting the website since it was wrong due to the manufacturer making a false claim. I was then given recommendations on some things that I could buy on my own to fulfill what I was trying to do. So instead of getting this feature that I was supposed to get as part of my paid service, I now get to go spend more money to finagle a work-around. Internet’s really fast thou... read more

contractors dug a 215' trench, across the back yard amd around 2 buildings, instead of a 70' link from across the street. Fiber installer refused to let me install the interior link until they made a second visit.

Business response:

Hi William! It looks like you are in a non-OEC area, so this means we bury our fiber in your area (as I'm sure you already know). Boring under a street can be more difficult, costly, and can sometimes require additional permits. We also require a light reading to be done prior to any additional steps being taken in the installation. This ensures there is a solid connection before we run the line into your home. I hope this helps to explain a bit better! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to call us at 217-6... read more

Had fiber internet installed 1 week ago. The technician/installer put a hole in my ceiling, it happens. They filled the hole with clear silicone. Looks terrible. Stated they would be back over the weekend to fix it. He did call that Friday while he was on the way to my house (with no prior warning) but I was still at work and it would have taken me about an hour to get get home. Said he would call and reschedule. No one called. I called OEC Wednesday this week and they said they would forward my information to the subcontrac... read more

Business response:

The router was supposed to be installed in the living room and it wasn’t and there is now 17 screw holes in my wall from where the guy mounted the line down.

Business response:

I have relayed this to our construction team.

The installers were very kind and respectful but I switched so I would have stronger internet upstairs and it is actually worse now.

Business response:

Hi, Natalie, if you wouldn't mind giving us a call at 405.217.6868 and choose technical support, we would love to troubleshoot this issue with you. Thanks!

My wife & I started as customers of ViaSat satellite Internet. That was horrible. We paid $60/mo & routinely blew through our 10Gb/mo. data cap in 2 weeks, and were condemned to dialup speed afterward. Worse still, Windows Updates consumed nearly half our data, and I had to wake up after midnight to update, to keep that from happening. TV was DirecTV @ $120/mo for "200 channels", of which we watched maybe 6, and had to tolerate commercials on top of that. Next, we tried AtLink. Much better. We were usually able to stream vid... read more
