The staff was very nice. I went to get checked out with symptoms of congestion in chest, nasel and cough. I told the Dr my 7 month son and few coworkers were tested positive for the flu. First I was told it might me an upper respiratory infection. It doesn’t sound like I have the flu but if I do it’s to late to be put on tamiflu. I insisted on testing anyway to make sure it’s not the flu before going back to work. The Dr had me do a swab test and came back I was positive for the flu. I didn’t feel as though the PA took my issue seriously. I was very disappointed with this visit.
Everything was fine, except I was caught off guard when the nurse checking the vitals asked if I was self pay or if I had insurance. My payment information was already taken by the billing desk. I felt that was very inappropriate and wondered if I was not using insurance would I have been treated differently? That is not the nurses business to be asking. I asked some of my family members if they had ever had that asked to them, and they said no and were amazed that would have been asked inside the patient room.
Nurse practitioner was okay, not as thorough as he could have been. They called my Rx into the wrong pharmacy, when I called to ask them to fix it, the front desk lady was very rude and they did not bother to follow up arbough she reluctantly said they would fix it. I called the pharmacy about 5 hours later to have to transferred myself. I was in a lot of pain and deserved better treatment than I received, I will not seek treatment here again.
I made a reservation for 9:15 am and it was confirmed via my email. I arrived by 9 am and filled out my paperwork someone came in after me with no reservation she was taken back before me when I asked why I was told that I did not have an appointment and I was there before 9:15, this made no sense to me and had to wait another 30 minutes before being seen. I made a same day appointment, and I was taken back to see a nurse practitioner shortly after my appointment time. I walked out with meds in about an hour after arriving. It was a Saturday with a lot of walk ins with kids who did seem to be anxious and waiting a long time. I think the key to being seen promptly is book time online and fill out the paperwork from the website before you arrive.
My wife and I both were seen. My wife was diagnosed with a common cold. Two days later she was in the hospital being treated for an infection in her right lung. As for me, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and prescribed antibiotics. 7 days on antibiotics hasn't improved my persistent coughing. I'll give it up and go to the emergency room tomorrow if this doesn't get better
