The receptionist is WONDERFUL! All the doctor did was tell me he didn’t know what was wrong, and prescribed me steroids to cover my symptoms instead of actually trying to find out what was wrong with me.
It was long but professional. Well worth the wait responding doctor treated me exceptionally well. Appreciate all of you caregivers for helping us out in this new difficult situation. Hope I don’t have to do this again. Arleen Hatton
Professional and caring staff! Dr. Donald Smith is a commensurate professional who Explained all the steps of my procedure. The Nurses were fantastic, and the food tasted like it came from a five-star restaurant! This is my third surgery at Tampa General. It is not surprising that they are nationally ranked!
I came in and was diagnosed with cellulitis. I was told to come back the following day if my condition worsened. Was also told if my condition worsened it was not good. I came back the following afternoon and was told I had to wait at least 2 hours. I decided to wait in my car, because they were testing for covid-19. After 2 hours of not hearing anything I came back in and told them my condition was worsening and I was a return patient. That did not matter. excellent. the doctor did a great job in the diagnosis of my problem. the shot has certainly helped.
Waited 4 hours outside in the heat, only to be told I was given the wrong test. Queue waiting an additional hour and a half, an not to be told “ sorry, we can’t give you the fast track test you wanted sir, have a nice evening”. Only the nurse who came to speak to me was competent enough to inform of why I couldn’t receive the test. Which if any of the staff before her knew, I wouldn’t have had to sit on the curb in 95 degree heat for 5 hours.
So far I have been there twice since it switched to TGH Fast track urgent care and I will say pleased both times. The first is I had to get stitches in my finger a few months ago and I looked and cannot tell which finger it was without knowing. The second time the nurse practitioner gave a thorough exam and between both time I will not hesitate to go back if needed.
