After 5 days of feeling sick I went to see a medical practitioner. I was pretty sure from past experiences over my 68 years that I had a sinus infection and bronchitis. The Nurse Practicioner told me to drink hot tea with lemon and honey and take Mucinex. I had already been taking cold pills and cough syrup without relief. This was an awful experience. The only decent part was the office staff was pleasant and so was the nurse. The NP I saw I found condescending. I came in for lower back back and nausea from the past 2 weeks. She spent the first 15 minutes talking about a pre existing condition I had written on my form (seizures) and told me I should get BRAIN SURGERY, which I've seen my neurologist for 12 years. Would love to. Have been waiting for almost 24 hours for my call back from Director Dr. Frommann who spoke directly to Sandra at customer service about all that went wrong and told her to tell me to give whole story and that she would call me. Ifound out today that there is another Director, Paul Nanda and really would like to receive my call.
There was no tissues in the waiting room. I almost snotted all over the place!
At 4:20am I woke to the news that my son was in a car accident. I was told in the ER that I could take him to an urgent care to get his stitches removed. A week later, I was sick and took a day off work to rest and take my son in to have his stitches removed. It was late in the day when we arrived and learned that they don't bill for auto injuries. I was met at the front desk by a receptionist. She half smiled, but was courteous and asked me to fill out the paperwork. Then, the back MA called another person that came in after me and the front receptionist had to correct her to take me back first. Once in the exam room, the physician came in and assessed my condition. She was pleasant, thorough and prescribed the necessary medication to take care of my issue. My only challenge is: my primary was too busy to see me on Monday - I pay alot of money towards insurance each paycheck and so to pay over 100 dollars yesterday just to be seen day of versus waiting to Wednesday - is frustrating. I must have "Crap Care" for health insurance.
Terrible. Doctor didn't care about my concerns. Felt like since I was in there to get checked for an auto accident, he just thought I was there so it would help with a lawsuit. Which, There isn't one. I was there because I was in pain and concerned.
No doctor on duty, not good.
