Be careful at the Riverview Apollo Beach and SunCity locations, there is a front desk employee by the name of Aaliyah G, she takes advantage of the access to patient information and portal test results and reports this information to the public. I know this is factual due to the individual involved was a close friend to her! She also makes unauthorized doctor’s notes and excuses so that she may be paid for them. Why don't you answer the phone? I would have given 5 stars. I was waiting to be seen and the phone rang constantly with no one answering it. I try to call after my appointment to ask a question and of course I had to drive up there again because no one is answering the phone.

I went to the local TGH Urgent Care (Tyrone) on Tuesday evening. I had made an appointment for knee pain. When I arrived, I started to check in only to find out that there was no xray tech there. There is one tech that circulates through several centers. This is appalling. Tampa General Hospital is supposed to be the #1 hospital in the area which we all know makes money hand over fist. Brought my son for urgent care located at SR54 and Gunn Hwy/ Starkey Ranch. I am a repeat patient and despite me asking why I had to place a card on file, when I have never done so before, and after checking that I have a $0 copay AND no outstanding billing from prior visits, I was still required to leave a card on file. I tried to tap - no debit card on hand. I was denied service. To add insult, I was asked if I wanted to be a “cash patient” to be charged $325 to submit to UHC for adjustment and reimbursement. Mom went there for pain in her knees I called first to make sure they do cortisone shots but a big waste of time my mom was put in two different rooms and waiting for a long period of time for them to tell her they can’t treat her very unprofessional.After talking to my mom I definitely know they mistreated her.

Dealing with tgh urgent care has been a pain. My daughter needed a TB test for college. I came here. The TB shot was painless after an hour wait. We were told repeatedly the follow up would be included, because the shot had to be read 48-72, hours. They lied. They charged me for the follow up. Self pay would have been $232 (or close to) they've billed me over 800 and have collected 500. I've called numerous times and am still waiting (4 months so far) for decisions about changing to self pay and getting a refund for a follow... read more
