Lack of competence when it comes to trans health
I had to wait 90 minutes past my appointment time before I was taken to a room
Florida Ortho put in an order for me to do a recheck Urine Analysis, the day I was to the Preop Covid at the TGH Urgent Care. The previous UA was + for Bacteria. I was told by the Urgent Care "We don't do urine analysis here". I told them that Dr Bernasek's office put in an order for it. I used to be a Medical Director of an Urgent Care in Lutz. Obscenely ridiculous wait times what's the point in having an appointment if you don't get take until almost 2 hours later. This is supposed to be Urgent Care I don't think so. Provider nice, receptionist eh, if I had some place else to go I would have.
The facility was clean and comfortable. The young lady at the front desk was very professional and knowledgeable. When tested the medical assistant explained the process thoroughly and was gentle and talked me through as he went along. The doctor was same, she asked about my symptoms and the process of how the test is evaluated. I felt really good and confident about the whole experience. The staff is to be commended.
